Wardro8e is dead. Here's what happened.
The idea: Pinterest for outfits, but smarter. An AI that learned your taste from what you interacted with, not from what you typed. Style quiz, personalised feed, visual similarity using CLIP embeddings, collections, trending. I built it. Shipped it. Got real users on it.
Then a well-funded competitor with strong user numbers still couldn't figure out how to monetize a discovery-only affiliate model. That was the tell. The thesis was broken. Not the execution.
I killed it in May 2026. No sunk cost fallacy, no dragging it out for ego. Moved on.
The technical work still stands, and it's what I'm most proud of on this page. Real product, real users, real shutdown, real lessons. Every founder should have one of these on their resume. Already building the next one. Didn't even take a break.
